DCS Design is proud to have designed Unity Homes at Ballston Station, an innovative project introducing 144 affordable housing units for individuals earning 30-60% of the area median income (AMI). Unity Homes offers a range of apartment sizes to suit diverse needs. Every unit is constructed with large windows for an abundance of natural light, fully equipped kitchens with EnergyStar appliances, and spacious closets. A modernized 100+ person church sanctuary space and a daycare benefiting approximately 90 children were constructed to replace the former Central United Methodist Church (CUMC) building which Unity Homes is built atop.

 

The eight-story property features premium amenities to enhance resident’s modern living experience with multiple community rooms for social gatherings, convenient on-site laundry facilities, a business center to meet professional needs, and rated EarthCraft Multifamily GOLD for building energy and water efficiency. Situated directly adjacent to the Ballston Metro station, Unity Homes not only addresses the pressing need for affordable housing but also fosters a dynamic and inclusive community in a high opportunity area.
