Reston Study Center, located in a beautifully wooded residential area in Northern Virginia, is the home and instructional center for professional men dedicating their lives to Opus Dei’s mission. The 21,000 SF facility situated on two and a half acres, includes a one-of-a-kind, custom designed oratory, classrooms, library, administration areas, full-service kitchen, multipurpose rooms, and residence areas including a living room, dining room, sitting area, and bedrooms. Initially zoned for a community center as part of Reston’s planned community model, the Reston Study Center was conceptualized in 1997 as a learning center dedicated to character development and spiritual growth of students and professional men. The residence aspect of the facility was developed to provide a spiritual and functional home to the men who live, study and minister there.

The exterior design utilized materials such as stone, stucco, slate and copper. Interior design details include custom millwork, moldings and casings, varying ceiling heights, wood, stone, tile and custom carpeting. The materials are rich yet simple and durable.
