Davis Carter Scott is working with local developers to create new network of six eco-resorts on the Island of Langkawi in Malaysia. Design is focused on creating a “Grand Experience” centered around nature and the traditions of Malaysia.
The program includes:
• Palau Island – Designed to be a seven star hotel and the epitome of sustainable design. With 360 degree views, the resort will house 76 guest suites, gourmet restaurants and luxury shops. Guest will also enjoy a Sky Spa with a full complement of hydrotherapy suites and an infinity pool which will connect land, sea and sky.
• Puteri Peninsula – The Peninsular Villas will be the most exclusive part of the Grand Experience. Comprised of only 19 two to three story homes each of which is between 5,000 and 10,000 SF.
•Semilang Peninsula- Peninsula Hotel and Conference Center is the largest and most publicly accessible component of the Grand Experience. Consisting of a hotel, marina, conference center and condominiums, the Peninsula Hotel and Residences is sited on steeply sloping land with panoramic bay views.
• Mangrove Sanctuary – A series of floating platforms each with 4 – 6 hotel suites connected by a gracious promenade. A Grand pavilion will serve as an amenity hub housing restaurants, retail, entertainment and spa services.
• Samudera Network – The guest accommodations are individual, luxurious floating barges which are anchored in groups 7 to 10 around a Grand Pavilion which houses spas, restaurants and entertainment.
• Paddy Field Village – 31 attached homes, 23 villas with their own boat docks and the compact condominiums of Paddy Field Village, all but 10 of which are on the water.
